As you read my 2025 gift guide, please know nothing is sponsored or promoted and I receive no compensation for my opinions. I've focused on selecting items that are considered affordable, but I have not provided prices as readers are across the globe. So, check costs for your part of the world, but generally all items below are going to be under £50 ($65 US).
For the Reader.
The Seven Dials Mystery: With the new Netflix production of this novel planned for release in January, this book would be a great gift to receive and read (or re-read) in advance of the film. A new 'tie-in' edition has just been released, which would be a clever edition to seek out. However, you'll have to create a coupon with its image, and a note that it'll be shipped January 2nd as its only available for pre-order. That's only one week after Christmas, so not long to wait. Alternatively, the WilliamMorrow American paperback with new art by Stephen Millership pays homage to the original 1929 Dodd Mead first edition. For those outside the US, you'll likely have to go to an American website and arrange for global shipping.
A Newer Christie-related Book: V is for Venom: Agatha Christie’s Chemicals of Death by Kathryn Harkup. Released in the summer of 2025, this is arguable a sequel to her A is for Arsenic (2014) but it is just fine as a standalone book. This new title investigates 14 poisons featured in Christie’s novels, explaining the science behind their effects, historical cases, and how feasible their use was in Christie’s time. It's a wonderful read and any Christie fan would enjoy it.
An Agatha Christie Ltd Recommendation. Agatha Christie Ltd has a recommended gift guide on their website (link). From their recommendations, the one I think is most unique and interesting is The Agatha Christie Reading Tracker. This book allows you to make notes on all the books as you read them, recording clues and your solution. Short stories are even present, though more space is assigned to the full-length novels. Since many of us re-read her books all the time, you can enjoy using this tracker as you go through the books again.
For the Young Reader. A new puzzle book aimed at those age 8 and up is The Agatha Christie After School Puzzle Book. With 50 puzzles to solve (no murders), this is a great way to introduce the next generation to the Queen of Crime, the world of mysteries and puzzle solving.
A Vintage Paperback or Hardback Edition: I recommended this last year, and will re-recommend it this year. While sourcing a vintage book takes a little more effort than buying a new book from the major online retailers, giving a vintage paperback, hardback or first edition is really quite easy to do and will often be a more cherished item that a new printing. Vintage paperbacks are generally always affordable, but to be creative consider a Christmas-themed bundle of The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding and Other Stories and Hercule Poirot's Christmas. Two of the covers I particularly find festive are the Tom Adams cover for Fontana in Britain in the 1970s (left) and the Geoffrey Appleton's cover used globally in the 1990s (right). Pairing these two together would be lovely to receive. Check with your local used book store first. Otherwise online resale sites such as AbeBooks, Biblio and alibris are likely your best sources. Look for an established seller that provides a clear description and photographs.
Other Media:
I recently reviewed the newly remastered Blu-ray disc set from Studio Canal that has four classic films from the 1970s and 80s. They are Murder on the Orient Express, Death on the Nile, Evil Under the Sun, and The Mirror Crack'd. My full review can be found here (link). Each film had over 200 hours of restoration to a 4K standard and are a joy to watch. However, do not buy the 4K set for anyone who doesn't have a newer Blu-ray player that can handle 4K discs. If they have an older Blu-ray player, get the regular Blu-ray set. Note - if outside the UK you'll likely have to buy these from a British website and have them shipped to you.
Two Audiobooks: Following on from the 2024 audiobook of The Mysterious Affair at Styles, actor Peter Dinklage resumed the role of Hercule Poirot in The A.B.C. Murders, which was released this year. A gift certificate to Audible or any other streaming platform that carries these books would be a lovely gift. Another audiobook worth considering at this time of year is the collection of shorts and poems by Agatha Christie Mallowan published as The Star Over Bethlehem and Other Stories. As a seasonal tie-in, this would also be a creative selection for your audiobook gift.
Other Categories.
Penguin Books: For many readers of Christie and other crime fiction, Penguin books may have been part of your reading journey. Many items from the official Penguin shop are appealing as gifts. My choices would be either their art print of The Body in the Library with the classic Penguin green and white cover design. It's available in various sizes, framed or unframed and also as a stretched canvas (link). My other selection would be their tote bag specially made to celebrate 90 years since their classic Penguin logo was first launched in 1935 (link).
An Agatha Christie Tapestry Kit. Tangently related to Evil Under the Sun is this needlepoint kit featuring the portrait of Agatha Christie. The actress who played the role of young Linda Marshall in that film was Emily Peacock (formerly known as Emily Hone). She is now a successful designer whose products include do-it-yourself kits. The one of Agatha Christie comes with the wools, needles and instructions and measures about 12 x 14 inches. It appears to be available from many hobby shops but also directly from Emily's online shop via this (link).
The 2026 Poirot Calendar: Available globally, this calendar features the cover art of Stephen Millership, who has been creating new covers for all the Poirot novels sold in the US. While these American editions may be hard to secure outside the US, the calendar allows everyone to enjoy his art.
Theatre: While I've recommended experiences before, they are worth restating. Tickets to a Christie stage play are a wonderful gift. Whether Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall, The Mousetrap at St. Martin's Theatre in London, or a performance of any of her plays near you, the recipient will be thrilled.
The Prior Lists:
Many of the items recommended in prior years are still viable options. So if the above ideas haven't helped you find that perfect gift, take a look at these prior recommendations:

Summary.
Please support your local independent stores - whether book shops (new or used) or gift shops. I would also avoid buying poorly printed 'off-copyright' books which are now being sold in various parts of the world outside the UK. They do not support the Christie estate nor the publishers who have brought her books to us for years, nor do they foster investment in thoughtful new cover art. Another area I ask you to be cautious of is hand-made crafts that use images without permission or compensation to the creator or Christie estate. In speaking with many cover artists, I've learned that this is a pervasive problem.
Hopefully this list has given some fresh ideas for you to either add to your wish list or to find that special something for the Christie fan in your life. I know I've missed lots of items out there... which just affirms how much there is for this wonderful world of Christie we all love so much.
Wishing all of you a very happy holiday season.
